Esta tradición lleva más de 50 años en el cual en el mes de Septiembre de cada año, varios equipos de personas, que después de trabajar duro por varias semanas, o hasta meses, por fin llega el tiempo para inflar sus globos hecho de papel de china usando una mecha prendida y soltarla para que flote hacia el cielo y nos asombre al público con su belleza.
Al principio, los globos eran bastante sencillos. Pero con los años, poco a poco se han estado aprendiendo nuevas técnicas y la forma de los globos varían, y hay algunos cuya forma es tan complicada hasta para poder inflarla es desafiador. Es muy divertido ver todo el proceso y la emoción de ver despegar al globo. A veces no logran despegar ya que se pueden prender con la mecha y se queman al instante. Otros empiezan a alcanzar altitud y llega una brisa, haciendo que el fuego de la mecha lo prenda también. En esos casos, uno solo tiene que mantener la vista fija en el globo cayendo en flamas y evitar que caiga en ti! Ya que toca suelo, por lo general hay un grupo de niños que corren al lugar, y alegremente, pisan el papel quemándose, para apagar el fuego. Pero la mayoría de los globos logran flotar y llegar a tales alturas que uno ya ni siquiera puede verlos.
Aparte de los globos, hay una variedad de comidas en venta así como bebidas refrescantes para el calor, y también hay música en vivo alegrando el ambiente. ¡Es un gran espectáculo!

This tradition has been going on for more than 50 years in which every month of September is when many teams, after working and making these complicated paper balloons, they can finally inflate then and let them float away into the sky awing the audience.
During the beginning, the balloons where quite simple. But as the years gone by, they have learned new techniques in building these balloons, some of them are so complicated it’s a challenge to even get them inflated. It’s very fun to see the process and the emotion people feel when the balloon takes off. Although sometimes they don’t even make it up at all as they catch fire immediately. Some do start to gain altitude and then there will be a breeze and puff, it’s on fire. One just have to keep an eye on them as they fall burning up so they don’t fall on you! Once they touch ground, usually a group of kids will start stomping on the fire to put it out. But most of the balloons do make it so far up one can’t even see them anymore.
Besides the globos, there is food for sale to keep the tummy happy and various beverages to cool off from the heat. There is also a band to liven up the environment.
It’s quite the spectacle!!
