MALECÓN DE AJIJIC - Ajijic Pueblo Mágico

Uno de los lugares más visitados y bonitos en Ajijic es el malecón, el lugar perfecto para tomarse una foto con el Lago de Chapala de fondo. A través del tiempo a tenido muchos cambios, al principio solo se contaba con el muelle, que cuenta la gente se construyó para que lo pudieran usar los pescadores y aquellas personas que realizaban un comercio o intercambiaban productos y mercancías de diferentes partes alrededor del lago.

Siguió teniendo cambios el muelle hasta tener una apariencia parecida a la que tiene hoy, siendo uno de los lugares preferidos, en que varios se reunían a pescar. Con el paso de los años empezaran los cambios para la parte de un lado del muelle y comenzó la construcción de lo que es hoy el malecón de Ajijic. Comenzando con un parque, nombrado el “Parque de la Amistad”. Hubo un año en que el temporal de lluvia fue tan bueno que se inundó el malecón, haciendo de la barda que daba al lago una gran alberca, donde todos los niños aprovechaban para darse un clavado y pasarla muy divertido; algunos para poder pescar unas grandes carpas. ¡Siempre se le busca el lado divertido de la vida!

El lugar ha tenido muchísimas remodelaciones hasta llegar a lo que ahora es este malecón que abarca una gran parte de la playa de Ajijic. Cuenta con áreas verdes, juegos infantiles, un lugar donde se realizan eventos artísticos y culturales (un pequeño foro al aire libre con unas hermosas columnas), canchas deportivas, también un lugar para los que gustan la emoción de andar con sus patinetas y bicicletas “Skate Park”, y por supuesto para todas las personas que les gusta caminar al aire libre, es un hermoso lugar para hacerlo.

En los fines de semana es visitado por cientos de turistas (tal vez mas) que pueden disfrutar de todas las áreas y de los diferentes ventas de artesanías, comida, nieve, antojitos, frituras y muchas cosas más.

Pero tal vez lo más importante es que el malecón de Ajijic se ha vuelto el lugar de reunión para pasar una buena tarde en compañía de la familia y amigos, ya sea que vayas a descansar o disfrutar de una comida o de una pequeña fiesta. Es un pueblo alegre por naturaleza y podrás ver que una banda tocando al aire libre ánima a muchos a bailar.

Es impresionante como un amanecer o un atardecer en el malecón este tan lleno de tantos colores y sonidos, es totalmente mágico. ¡Simplemente hermoso!

Malecón de Ajijic (Ajijic Pier)

One of the most visited and beautiful places in Ajijic is the pier, the perfect place to take pictures with the Chapala Lake in the background. Its’ had many changes throughout time, at the beginning it only had a dock, that people say that it was built for the fishermen and persons who had to realize commerce or exchange products and different merchandise from different parts around the lake.

There were continued changes made to the pier until its appearance resembles what you see today, being one of the favorite places in which some got together to fish. As time went by, changes started on one side of the dock and the construction of what the Ajijic Pier is today. Starting with a park, named “Parque de la Amistad” (Friendship Park). There was a year when the rainy season was very good that it flooded the pier making the lake’s enclosing wall a big pool where the children took advantage to take dips and have fun; others to catch bigger fish. You always have to find the fun side of life!

The place has gone through a series of remodelations to get to what this pier is today, which encompasses a big part of Ajijic’s beach. It has green areas, playgrounds, a small amphitheater with beautiful columns for artistic and cultural events, sports courts, a skate park for those who like the emotion of bikes and skateboards, and of course for all those people who like to just enjoy a nice walk; this is the perfect place for it.

In the weekends hundreds of tourists (maybe more) visit it, who can enjoy all of the different areas and the different sales of crafts, food, ice cream, snacks, and much more.

However, what may be the most important thing about the Ajijic pier is that it has turned into a reunion spot to spend a nice afternoon in the company of family and friends. It is a joyful town by nature and you will see that a band playing in the outdoors encourages many to dance.
