One of the traditional festivities in Ajijic is the celebration of the Day of the Virgin of Guadalupe, a celebration that takes place in the neighborhood of \u201cLas seis esquinas\u201d (the six corners) which takes its name “Barrio de Guadalupe.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is here where a special \u201cnovenario\u201d (nine-day prayer) is held prior to December 12, playing the Mexican song \u201cma\u00f1anitas\u201d in the morning to the Virgin, with fireworks and music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
